Analysts urge nation to learn from life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
October 17, 2021

Dr. Masoom Yasinzai (Rector, International Islamic University):  We should give a message to our youth that teachings of Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH) are beacon of light for entire Muslim world.  Similarly, the life of Holy Prophet gives us message of honesty, justice and truthfulness to get success in life.  We, as a nation, need to follow the golden principles advocated by our religion and Holy Prophet (PHUH).  Islam is a religion of peace, love and harmony.  There is a need of unity to counter internal and external threats being faced by the country. Today, Muslims are facing many crises all over the world and only Islamic teachings can steer the Muslims out of prevailing challenges.

Dr Zia ul Haq (Religious Scholar): Without better environment of co-existence, we will not be able to convey our message across the world.  We need the strategy that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) adopted in his time to stop the current wave of Islamophobia in Western countries. We also need to stop Westophobia among the Muslim people. This way there can be increased mutual understanding and desire to cultivate good relations between different cultures. The message of Prophet Muhammad was a beacon of light for whole humanity and was not limited to Muslims only. The research culture in Islam needs to be strengthened on life and teachings of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) so that West understands the true message of this great religion. In the age of Islamophobia, our response should be swift and thorough with strong arguments.

Brigadier, Retired, Mahmood Shah (Defense Analyst): Peace in Afghanistan is very important for the whole region. Pakistan is continuously making efforts to bring together various countries to improve situation in Afghanistan. There are some forces that want to spoil peace in the region. Peace cooperation between Russia, China, Pakistan and Iran is vital for improving situation in Afghanistan as well as whole region of South Asia. There is a need for inclusive government in Afghanistan so that there is harmony between various ethnicities in the war torn country. Taliban have the capacity to take on and defeat IS militants who are trying to disrupt peace in Afghanistan through sporadic attacks in various parts of the country

Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan (Expert on Internatinal Relations): Pakistan is committed to promote peace in the region through sincere efforts.  Peaceful Afghanistan is in the best interest of the region in general and Pakistan in particular.  Taliban have told the United States and the West in categorical terms to adopt responsible attitude and abandon double standard as far as Afghan issue is concerned.  International community should pay special attention towards humanitarian and food crisis in Afghanistan.  Pakistan is already extending helping hands to Afghanistan to avert the humanitarian crisis in war-torn country.
