The world acknowledges the role of Pak Army and the nation in fighting against the menace of terrorism. Unfortunately, South Asia is suffering from the overbearing attitude of India towards the neighboring countries. Whenever there is a regional conflict, it always forgets India. Although India is a huge country, it never behaved as a great nation. Indian aggressive policies to destabilize regional peace have been exposed. There is a convergence of interests between India and the United States and it is the United States that is backing India. The Indian track record is very pathetic with a very low level of mentality as this country stops its teams from playing against Pakistan and also suspects the pigeons that fly from Pakistan. India claims itself a major regional power but its defense assets are not safe and secure. In the recent past, India officially acknowledged it had accidentally fired a sophisticated, unarmed missile into Pakistan on March 9 due to a technical malfunction, raising concerns about safeguards against miscalculation between the two nuclear-armed neighbours. It is Pakistan that exercised tolerance and patience otherwise the situation could have escalated. The current Indian regime is following the theories of Hindutva and Akhand Bharat that are based on conflicts. The President has rightly pointed out and in my opinion; there is a need for reforms in the United Nations and Security Council policies. Till today, the United Nations is unable to resolve the oldest agenda of Kashmir dispute on its charter. China is emerging as the economic power in the world and the United States is using India as its policeman to counter Chinese emergence as the world power.

Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Ijaz Mehmood (Defense Analyst): Currently, the regional environment is fragmented and there is a dire need that border issues must be resolved. Unfortunately, one of our neighboring countries having huge populations has indulged itself in an unwanted arm race and doing so the human development is badly affected. India cannot even contest for the permanent seat of UNSC as India itself is violating the UN charter by not giving the Kashmiris their right to self-determination. Pakistan needs to adopt a proactive approach and use all diplomatic channels to expose cruel Indian face in front of the world. An effort is being made to exploit the economy and political instability in Pakistan.
