Lt. Gen. (R) Raza Muhammad Khan (Defense Analyst):Pakistan is clear on its national sovereignty; therefore our security forces are taking all required actions against terrorists to safeguard our territorial integrity. Our security forces are chasing and eliminating terrorists from our soil and terrorists will be punished, whether they are inside or outside Pakistan. Taliban administration in Afghanistan considers TTP as their ally, therefore they put no pressure on TTP to end their terrorist activities in Pakistan. We must link our all-out cooperation with Afghanistan with Afghan administration’s action against TTP and terrorists. Moreover, Pakistan must deport all Afghan refugees back to Afghanistan like the US is also deporting illegal migrants to their countries. This step will sensitize Afghan government about our problems. Terrorists enter Pakistan by misusing our facilities of Afghan transit trade and medical visas which is issued on humanitarian grounds. We must place a strict check on everyone whoever tries to enter Pakistan in any garb. In this regard, we must change our policies towards Afghan nationals. Wemust continuously take up the issue of terrorists’ activities with Afghan administration so that they may realize our losses and change their policies towards the terrorists. The government is also taking required administrative measures for uplift of our people. In this regard status of some areas has been upgraded from B in Balochistan. Our civil society, academia, clerics and other segments of society should also play due role against terrorists.
