In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat organizations have strongly condemned India’s policies in the territory, likening them to Israeli tactics in Palestine.

In their statements in Srinagar today, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party and Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League said India is trying to marginalize the Muslim majority in the territory.

They mentioned the grant of domicile certificates to around one million non-locals since revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status in August 2019, is an attempt to alter the occupied territory’s demographic composition.

Meanwhile, addressing an event in Jammu, Communist Party of India-Marxist leader Prakash Karat termed the revocation of occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, a major assault on the democratic rights of the Kashmiri people.

On the other hand, massive forest fires have broken out in the Udhampur and Tral areas of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, with locals suspecting a deliberate hand behind the increasing incidents of fires in the territory.
