The Election Commission of Pakistan has banned the issuance of No Objection Certificates to new housing societies, making commission's approval necessary even in case of urgency.

In a notification, Election Commission stated that while the caretaker government has the capability to manage routine operational emergencies, it is advisable to refrain from making significant policy decisions.
