Modi regime peddling lies of normalcy in IIOJK to mislead world: APHC
October 18, 2023

In view of humiliating defeat in the recently-held Kargil Hill Council elections and fast declining popularity of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party among masses, the Modi-led Indian government has devised a wicked plan to ensure its victory in Indian parliamentary as well as local bodies’ elections in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, as per the plan, devised under the supervision of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah, Kashmiri youth are to be arrested in bulk on fake charges and lodged in Kotbhalwal and other jails of the territory before being shifted to far-way jails of India.

The recent shifting of several illegally detained youth including Aadil Siraj Zagar, Dawood Fayaz Zargar and Urooj from Kot Bhalwal jail Jammu to Ambedkar Nagar jail in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is part of the same sinister plan.

The Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum  in a statement in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the shifting of Kashmiri prisoners to Indian jails, and said that the detained youth were neither being presented before courts, nor were any legal proceedings initiated to prolong their detention. It said that many among these have already spent a long time in Kashmiri jails.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders in their statements issued in Srinagar said that the Narendra Modi-led Indian government is peddling blatant lies of peace and normalcy to mislead the world about the ground situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
