Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that commencement of international conferences in Pakistan is a testament of the country's success on diplomatic front.

Chairing a review meeting about matters related to Capital Development Authority in Islamabad on Monday, he appreciated the performance of the CDA for successfully holding recent international conferences and other events in the federal capital. He said the confidence of friendly countries in Pakistan has been restored through continuous hard work.

Shehbaz Sharif stressed on the need to further improve hotels, hospitals and other facilities for holding the international level conferences and other events in Pakistan. He said provision of modern facilities will also result in promotion of tourism in the country.

The Prime Minister directed CDA to submit a comprehensive report for the construction of new hotels equipped with the modern facilities through joint venture and public-private partnership. He also directed to ensure the provision of world-class facilities to the guests, coming from the friendly countries.

Shehbaz Sharif instructed the CDA to further improve the facilities for the residents of Islamabad.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed that the pre-feasibility reports have been prepared regarding the construction of new hotels and restoration of inactive valuable government buildings.
