Pakistan Hajj Mission is extending the best accommodation, transport, and medical facilities, along with three-time meals of Pakistani taste, to the intending pilgrims.
This was stated by Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhary Salik Hussain, while talking to the media after visiting the hospital facility established by the government of Pakistan in Makkah today.
During his visit to the hospital, he observed the working of the staff, the available stock of medicines, as well as state-of-the-art equipment like x-ray machines and other devices to conduct various kinds of tests, catering to the emergency medical needs of the intending pilgrims from Pakistan.
Earlier, Chaudhry Salik Hussain visited various buildings hired for Pakistani intending pilgrims and reviewed the facilities being provided to them. He also took stock of the catering companies' services to ensure quality food for Hujjaj.
Radio Pakistan Correspondent Bilal Khan Mehsud reports from Makkah that a medical contingent of around 100 personnel, comprising specialist doctors, nurses, and paramedics, is extending basic health services to the pilgrims round the clock. Separate male and female wards have been established, along with a state of the art laboratory and dentistry department.
The Pakistan Hajj Mission has also arranged ambulance services to fetch and drop ailing pilgrims from their buildings to the hospital and vice versa. Additionally, elaborate arrangements have been made to shift serious patients to Saudi hospitals.
It is pertinent to mention that medical facilities are being extended to all Pakistani intending pilgrims, irrespective of whether they come under the government or the private Hajj scheme.
