In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, work is in progress on several development projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

This was told at a meeting held in Peshawar today.

The Caretaker Minister for Planning and Development Abdur Rauf Khattak presided.

The projects include Hevelian-Thakot Express Way, Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway and Suki-Kinari Hydro Power project in district Abbottbad.

These projects will be completed at a cost of four hundred and fifty-nine billion rupees.

The meeting was informed that construction of Gilgit-Chakdara road via Chitral, establishment of Special Economic Zone at Rashakai near Mardan and Circular Rail Peshawar have also been included in CPEC.

Speaking on the occasion, the Caretaker Minister for Planning and Development directed the concerned authorities to accelerate work on all development projects in the province.
