The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has welcomed the political agreement signed between the military and Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok for reinstatement of the deposed civilian government in Sudan.

In a statement, OIC Secretary-General, Hussein Ibrahim Taha praised the return to the constitutional path, stressing that this agreement represents an important development towards restoring political stability in Sudan.
