All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the torture of civilians in Kishtwar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the Friday congregation at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, also  expressed deep concern over severe torture marks on the victims' bodies, and highlight the ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK.

He lamented the fact that the perpetrators of these heinous crimes are rarely brought to justice.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq emphasized that the unchecked impunity granted to occupation troops under draconian laws, coupled with their abuse of power, has led to extrajudicial killings and other grave abuses in the territory.

Calling for accountability, he demanded an independent investigation into the latest incident and urged for exemplary punishment for those responsible

Meanwhile, personnel from India’s infamous National Investigation Agency, along with paramilitary forces and police, continued hostile searches and house raids across Srinagar, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Baramulla, Pulwama, Islamabad, Ramban, Kishtwar, Doda, Udhampur and Kathua districts.

Many Kashmiris have been arrested during these operations.

Local residents reported that troops forcefully entered homes, harassed inhabitants, and vandalized properties.

In many cases, they also seized crucial documents related to land, housing and bank accounts, leaving families in distress and further escalating the climate of fear and intimidation.
