People’s Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti has said that the BJP and its government are hell-bent on destroying the Indian Constitution, which guarantees equal rights to all citizens.

Her remarks came in response to a recent directive in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, ordering shop owners and kiosk owners to display their names.

She claimed that this move is a clear indication of the BJP’s intentions to undermine the Constitution. The move is also seen as an indication of identifying Muslim shopkeepers to make them easy targets.
