Anti-locust survey and control operations by National Locust Control Centre are underway in one district each of Balochistan and Sindh.

According to NLCC, there is no locust in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab now.

In last twenty four hours, more than 222,000 hectares area has been surveyed and operation against locust was carried out on 100 hectares of district Lasbella of Balochistan and 793 hectares of district Tharparkar of Sindh.

In last six months, NLCC has conducted operation against Locusts on more than 1.11 million hectares area of land.
