Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur’s renowned voice and former Staff Artist Muhammad Ajmal Malik who died early in the morning due to protracted illness was laid to rest in Maluk Shah Graveyard, Bahawalpur this evening.

Our Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur Correspondent Sajjad Parvez reports that Muhammad Ajmal Malik joined Radio Pakistan in 1975 when it was established in Bahawalpur. He served Radio Pakistan as Staff Artist for Saraiki Language and is considered as the renowned voice of “Jamhoor Di Awaz '' as a stock character.

He also conducted Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur’s Sehari and Iftar Transmission for many years.

In 1999, he also got the PBC Regional Excellence Award for best voice in regional category.
