The Federal Government is paying special attention on promotion of tourism including religious tourism in the country besides exploring new sites of national heritage to attract the tourists across the world.

This was stated by the Parliamentary Secretary for National Heritage and Culture Dr. Ghazala Saifi during an interview with News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan.

She said provincial governments should also initiate work for the promotion of tourism to generate opportunities of investment and revenue.

She said promotion of art and artisans is one of the top priorities of the incumbent government and several steps have been taken to patronage art and culture in the country.
