The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged the international community to urgently intervene and resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions.

In a statement, the APHC condemned the harsh measures imposed by the BJP-led Indian government to punish the Kashmiri people for demanding the right to self-determination.

Meanwhile, the illegally detained Kashmiri prisoners are facing severe hardships in India jails due to ban on making phone calls to family members who reside over 1,000 kilometers away in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the restriction was verbally communicated to the Kashmiri prisoners, leaving their families distressed and disconnected.

Besides, the detainees in Tihar Jail are bearing the brunt of being subjected to harsh conditions during Delhi's oppressive summer heat, resulting in many falling ill due to the lack of cooling facilities. These prisoners are facing trial in the National Investigation Agency court in Delhi, largely for their political beliefs.

Indian troops arrested two Kashmiri youths in Kathua district during a cordon and search operation.
