The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has paid rich tribute to detained Hurriyat leaders and activists for dedicating their lives for the just resolution of the Kashmir dispute through the UN-pledged right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Hurriyat leaders and organizations, in their statements issued in Srinagar, lauded the sacrifices of APHC Chairman Massrat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi, and others who have endured years of imprisonment, torture, and harassment for their unwavering stance on Kashmir.

The leadership urged the United Nations and global human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the plight of detained Hurriyat leaders and activists, ensure their safety, and work towards their early release.

Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti has urged the government of IIOJK to clarify its stance on restoration of Article 370.

She criticized the Omar Abdullah-led government for failing to openly discuss and condemn the revocation of Kashmir’s special status by India's Modi regime in August 2019.
