Hajj flight operation to repatriate Pakistani pilgrims from Madinah airport formally started on Sunday.

Radio Pakistan Correspondent Muhammad Akram Khan reports from Madinah that Director General Hajj Dr Sajid Yousafani saw off the pilgrims at the airport. The Director General presented gifts to the pilgrims departing for Karachi as passengers of the first flight beginning from Madinah.

Departure of Pakistani Hajjaj is continuing from Jeddah airport as well. So far, over 39,000 pilgrims have reached Pakistan.

Meanwhile, over 16,000 pilgrims have arrived in Madinah from Makkah to offer Salam at Roza-e-Rasool. The pilgrims will stay in Madinah for eight days, where they will complete their forty prayers before finally departing for Pakistan.

The Hajj flight operation will continue till 15th of the next month.
