Dr. Tauseef Zaman (Economist): There is a dire need that Pakistan works with the Central Asian countries, Iran and other regional countries to boost its economy. To have a stable economy, political stability in the country is vital. All the stakeholders for the sake of the national interest must work together for a prosperous Pakistan. Pakistan has a large number of young people who have graduated from universities and their talent could be used in various industries. At the regional level, Pakistan needs to foster its relations with the friendly countries in the areas of trade and commerce. Pakistan could meet its energy needs from central Asian countries and can provide them access to sea.
Salman Ghani (Senior Analyst): The politicians themselves are responsible for political instability. When a political party is in power, the attitude is different and when the same party is in the opposition, the attitude becomes entirely different. The China Pakistan Economic Corridor project is going to bring an economic stability in the country. Unfortunately, previous government made all out efforts to create hurdles in its smooth implementation of this mega project. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan is blackmailing the government and its institutions every day and putting pressure for early elections. PTI needs to follow the constitution and any effort to derail the democracy must be discouraged.
