Hamayun Iqbal Shami (President, Pakistan Economic Forum):  China and Pakistan have historic relations and both are strategic partners as well. The responsibility of the newly appointed ambassador of Pakistan to China will be to take the relations between both the countries to new heights. The ambassador can make efforts for the relocation of Chinese industries in Pakistan. China can support Pakistan to great extent in terms of increasing its exports. 

Brig (Retd) Masood Ahmed Khan (Defense Analyst): It is a fact that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is under immense pressure as being involved in corruption charges so he is trying to take cover of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Israel would definitely lose the war if they failed to prevent civilian casualties. Moreover, there is no denying the fact that if you kill innocents then you are making more terrorists. The situation prevailing in Gaza is getting out of control. United States as it is the only power that can influence Israel to stop atrocities in Gaza. Unfortunately, the Muslim Ummah is divided and unable to pressurize Israel from what it is doing with the innocent people of Palestine.

The stakeholders have announced a confirmed date for the general elections in the country and people are very passionate in this regard. There is a sense of anticipation and uncertainty surrounding the fate of the country’s economy and political stability and general elections are the only cure to it. The most important indicator of the quality of democracy in a country, specifically like Pakistan, could be the scale of social, political and economic stability. In a democratic system there is dire need to promote patience and avoid hatred for others.
