The 16th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed was observed today [Wednesday].

The main ceremony in connection with anniversary was held at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto in Larkana this evening.

A large number of PPP workers and party leaders from across the country attended the ceremony.

Addressing the participants, Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the great sacrifice rendered by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for democracy and country will always be remembered.  

He said Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was the voice of all four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the terrorists have used the name of Islam to trigger fear among the people.

Bilawal Bhutto said we will provide the people free education throughout the country.

In his address to the gathering, Co-Chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari said Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is an ideology and will remain alive in the hearts of people.

He paid rich tribute to Benazir Bhutto for her fight against dictatorship and oppression.
