Dr Zahid Anwar (IR Expert): Pakistan and Russian Federation enjoy cordial relations spanning over decades. Actually, incumbent Pakistani government is trying to have exemplary cooperation in diverse sectors with Russian Federation as well as Central Asian Republics.  Russian Federation supports Pakistan in disaster management, economic and other sectors. So Pak-Russian cooperation is strengthening with the passage of time and hopefully Islamabad and Moscow will further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the coming days. Russian Federation under President Putin has emerged as a world leader; both Pakistan and Russia have been victims of terrorism so both can enhance their cooperation in the war against terrorism. They can also play significant role against terrorism in the region.
