Over Sixteen thousand intending pilgrims have chosen a short Hajj package introduced by the government this year.
This was stated by the Director General Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro while interacting with state media in Makkah today.
The Director General said the package is a gift for the busy people, who intend to perform Hajj in a short duration of 25 to 30 days. He said numerous steps are being taken to facilitate the pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
Sharing detail of the initiatives, the DG Hajj said space for the pilgrims was acquired timely in the Mina as well as train service will be available for all Pakistani pilgrims to transport them to the Mashayer.
Responding to a question, the Director General said the government Hajj scheme basically focuses on the low-income segment of the society. He also appealed to the pilgrims to understand the basic purpose of Hajj and not lose temperament while performing this sacred religious activity.
Abdul Wahab Soomro also commended Saudi Arabia’s special cooperation and efforts to facilitate the pilgrims coming from Pakistan.
