Industrial development amongst govt’s top priorities: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said industrial development is amongst top priorities of the government and it is ensuring provision of all possible facilities to the small and the medium enterprises for the availability of job opportunities in the country.

Talking to Minister for Industries and Production Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, who called on him in Islamabad today (Tuesday), Imran Khan said prudent economic policies of the government have led to significant development in the large scale manufacturing industry, despite Covid-19 pandemic, which is a welcoming sign. He said the industry is running on its full capacity which is creating new employment opportunities.

Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar briefed the Prime Minister about government's steps for industrial development of the country.

Besides, he apprised the Prime Minister about progress in the construction of an industrial zone in Karachi comprising 1,5000 acres of land and the policy about Small and Medium Enterprises.

Government taking steps to improve infrastructure of Azad Jammu and Kashmir for promotion of Tourism: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan says the government is taking steps to improve the infrastructure of Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the promotion of Tourism.

Talking to the AJK Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum Niazi who called on him in Islamabad today, the Prime Minister said tourism will help create livelihood opportunities in the valley.

The Prime Minister said steps are also being taken to improve the health and educational system of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting discussed the development package for AJK and its five-year development plan.

The development package includes tourism infrastructure, basic health and education and projects for the people living along the Line of Control.
