Analysts hail institutional resolve of Pakistan Army to remain apolitical
November 28, 2022

Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Abdul Qayyum (Defense Analyst): I think General Bajwa is right about all the issues. He is very much experienced in military as well as regional affairs. General Bajwa gave a doctrine for peace and stability in South Asia. He is quite well aware of the various challenges being faced by Pakistan. Pakistan army is a professional fighting force and is committed to protect the national frontiers of the country. The new army chief will also dispense his duties professionally and with dedication.

Dr. Saira Aqil (IR Expert): Outgoing Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has clearly said that Pakistan Army will remain out of politics. Pakistan Army is a professional institution and it cannot afford to involve in political affairs. General Bajwa’s determination reflects that Pakistan Army is focused on its professional affairs and will play its constitutional role.
