August 29, 2024

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism have martyred three more Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district.

The youth were martyred during a cordon and search operation in Tangdhar area of district.

Meanwhile, Indian troops have escalated their violent cordon and search operations in Rajouri and Poonch districts.

On the other hand, the BJP-led Indian government is escalating its repressive measures in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by deploying an additional 500 companies of paramilitary forces under guise of facilitating elections.

The so-called assembly elections in IIOJK are set to be held in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1.

In addition to this latest deployment, the BJP government has already sent nearly 3,000 troops to the Jammu division to intimidate and harass those advocating for the UN-recognized right to self-determination.

Furthermore, 2,000 Border Security Force personnel have been stationed along the Working Boundary in Jammu, Samba, and Kathua districts.

On the third anniversary of Syed Ali Gilani’s martyrdom, All Parties Hurriyat Conference spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas and Hurriyat organizations have paid tribute to iconic pro-freedom leader.

They praised Gilani’s steadfast commitment to Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and pledged to continue his mission until Kashmir is free from India’s illegal occupation.

The APHC has called for visits to his grave in Hyderpora on September 1, and urged imams to offer special prayers in his honor.

The spokesperson also encouraged global protests and demonstrations to expose Indian atrocities in the occupied territory.

Syed Ali Gilani embraced martyrdom on September 1, 2021, under prolonged house arrest in Srinagar.
