Several districts of Indian state of Manipur are experiencing a lockdown as authorities reimpose curfew in response to escalating tension.

The situation intensified following clashes between students and Indian security forces. The Kuki organization in Manipur has announced an indefinite protest against the government and Indian forces across the entire state.
