The United States have charged an Indian national Nikhil Gupta over plotting to assassinate Sikh leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in New York.

Nikhil Gupta was arrested by authorities in the Czech Republic under US extradition orders.  

Meanwhile, Sikh leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun said in a statement that the attempt on his life on American soil is the blatant case of India's transnational terrorism.
