In North Macedonia, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has resigned as Prime Minister and Chairman of the ruling party after the party's defeat in the second round of local elections.

The preliminary results of the second round of local elections showed that the candidates from the main opposition party are taking the lead.

The country's State Election Commission is expected to announce the election results on Monday.
