Minister for Finance Miftah Ismail says the government would control inflation by presenting a pro-people and business friendly budget.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the government is providing flour and sugar on fixed rates which is benefiting common people.

Miftah Ismail said that government has withdrawn subsidy on oil to pull the economy out of the current crisis as it was benefiting mostly affluent people.

He said that onus of purchasing the LNG at high rates is on Imran Khan as his government delayed in buying the commodity from international market.

The Minister said that value of rupee would gain stability and in near future the country's reserves will also increase significantly.

He said the government is likely to reach agreement with International Monetary Fund.
