Afzal Butt, President Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists: Journalism is the name of responsibility and self-accountability. A journalist uses and enjoys his/her right of freedom of expression and bring out the reality before the nation. It is the responsibility of journalist to remain objective and impartial in his/her reporting. The job of a journalist is always very challenging and demanding not only in Pakistan but also throughout the world. A responsible and true journalist never goes against the interest of his country or nation, and it would not be wrong to say that a journalist in Pakistan realizes his/her responsibility while highlighting the issues and fulfills all aspects and pre-requisites of journalism.   The incumbent government has taken very appreciable steps for the welfare of journalist community in Pakistan. The government has appointed chairman of Implementation Tribunal for Newspaper Employees (ITNE), who has not only safeguarded the rights of workers of newspapers, but also disbursed  80 million rupees among workers of newspapers.  

 Anwar Raza (President National Press Club, Islamabad): A job of journalist is to highlight issues, challenges and grieving of people objectively and bring before state and institutions for their just resolution. Unfortunately, sometimes journalists face difficulties in disseminating their prime responsibilities and bear hardships, but journalists of Pakistan are fulfilling their jobs fearlessly and bravely without caring of consequences.  It is the responsibility of journalist to do its job objectively. The freedom of expression and freedom of journalism strengthens democracy in the country. It is high need of time to end political polarization in the society, and for which we will have to do united efforts to eliminate this shortcoming.
