India fanning terrorism in Pakistan: Analyst
March 30, 2025

Brig ® Rashid Wali (Defense Analyst): India is fanning terrorism in Pakistan and involved in recent terror attack on Jaffar Express. It was quite clear from the way Indian media and leadership celebrated the terror attack. India being hostile is carrying out terror attacks in Pakistan. In this situation, we need to put our house in order to tackle and handle Indian conspiracies against Pakistan. We need to sensitize the nation through media about the intentions of hostile India and other nations who want to undo Pakistan openly. External factors encourage militancy and extremism and these attitudes needs to be countered. Political parties which find their benefit in militancy should be exposed before the people.  Actually, country is in passing through a crucial situation. Therefore we need a multi-dimensional approach to handle militancy and terrorism in Balochistan. We need political engagement along with proactive media to combat fake and negative propaganda. Political parties must realize that we have to eliminate terrorism with full force of the state. We need to ensure use of technology to counter wrong and fake narrative. Moreover, diplomatic front must also be explored to let the world about disastrous impacts of terrorism. International community must realize that Baloch militants are destabilizing Afghanistan, Iran and Pakistan. Iran and Afghanistan must also tighten their borders to curtail cross border movement of terrorists. All three countries Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran need to adopt a wholesome approach and policy to check terrorists. Any militant entity which openly flouts nationalism in the name of separatism should be met with iron hand. Harbiayar and Brahamdagh don’t talk within ambit constitution and talk about separatism therefore they should be taken to account. Pakistan needs to ensure to act like a hard state to establish writ and militants should not be allowed to violate constitution. We need to strengthen our counter terrorism department of KP police which is very weak right now. Capacity of police has not been enhanced to respond any terrorist activity at the first agency. Therefore, our army and intelligence agencies are tackling the menace of terrorism effectively. Intelligence sharing should be made more fluent and effective. We also face a problem of narrative as effective rebuttal is vital to counter fake propaganda on social and main stream media. In this regard, state has to take measures through effective social media team to put accurate facts and statistics to the people. Sympathizers of militants should also be taken to task. State has to be very active in this regard on social media platforms as well as main stream media.
