Waheed Ahmad (Former Ambassador): The US and Pakistan have been cooperating with each other in countering terrorism and other spheres. Pakistan faced criticism for overdoing and over reacting to US demands in the war on terror because of the fact that it is was not Pakistan’s war.  Now after terror attack on Jaffar Express, the US has shown some sort of indications to extend cooperation counter terrorism operations. But at the same time we are facing complex situation from our eastern and western neighbours. Unless we have secure and safe western border we can’t counter terrorism. Due to surging terror attacks, our internal security and economy are at the stake. Even the international dignitaries and firms ask Pakistanis to come to Dubai to have talks and negotiations. Therefore Pakistan needs to take hard action against terrorists. Factually Indian intelligence agencies are operating in Pakistan and fueling terrorism. Therefore some countries are thinking to impose sanctions in Indian intelligence agency RAW. India will try to hit specific targets in Pakistan therefore Pakistan must be somewhat proactive to counter any such move or expedition.
