Analysts slam Indian government’s attempts to suppress the indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmiris
September 05, 2021

Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan (Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir): The matter of mishandling the dead body of Syed Ali Gilani must be taken up at the United Nations Security Council. This type of inhuman attitude has never been observed in the past. The cruel act is highly condemnable. The incident shows the frustration of the Indian government in failing to suppress the indigenous struggle of Kashmiri people. Despite the highest militarization, the New Delhi government has failed to suppress the indigenous freedom movement and curtail the voice of Kashmiri people. The abrogation of Article 370 is an attempt to sabotage the legitimate right of self-determination of Kashmiri people.

Abdul Hameed Lone (Kashmiri Leader):  I would pay tribute to Syed Ali Gilani who never compromised on the right of self-determination of Kashmir people. He stood against the oppression and tyranny of successive Indian governments. Our brave leader personified the extraordinary efforts against the brutal Indian regime. The Indian fascist government has shown its frustration at the funeral of Syed Ali Gilani. It is highly condemnable that the brutal Indian troops mishandled the dead body of our great leader. Syed Ali Gilani always raised the slogans for Pakistan. The relation between the people of Kashmir and Pakistan is unbreakable. It is high time that the world community takes note of incarceration of Hurriyet leaders in Indian prisons and constant threats to their lives. They are being tortured to suppress the indigenous freedom movement.

Syed Abrar Hussain (Former Ambassador): India does not share any border with Afghanistan and technically does not have any role in rebuilding the war torn country. India is the only country which opposed any dialogue with the Taliban. India has always used Afghan soil against Pakistan. Islamabad is not oblivious of India's nefarious agenda against it. The real purpose of India's presence in Afghanistan is to destabilize Pakistan. Amrullah Saleh is a friend of India and bashes Pakistan on various occasions to please his Indian masters. New Delhi has always spoiled every opportunity to restore peace in Afghanistan. India would not be allowed to play role of a spoiler and destabilize Pakistan under Taliban's regime.

Brig. (Retd.) Mehmood Shah (Defense Analyst): India does not have any positive role to play in Afghanistan. India is heading towards regional isolation.  India's nefarious agenda to sabotage the peace process would never succeed in Taliban's Afghanistan. Taliban have successfully captured Panjshir after a little resistance from non-state actors.
