APHC urges world to play role for peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue
October 07, 2024

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called on the international community to urge New Delhi to peacefully resolve the Kashmir dispute in line with relevant UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, condemned the suspension of Kashmiri government employees and the attachment of properties belonging to pro-freedom activists.

He reiterated that the Kashmiri people reject New Delhi’s illegal occupation, emphasizing that India's brutal measures will not weaken their resolve for freedom from Indian bondage.

The APHC urged global organizations, including the UN and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, to intervene for the settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

Meanwhile, protests against rising Islamophobia in India continued in various parts of the occupied territory including Srinagar, with participation from diverse community representatives, including Sikhs.

The occupation authorities have also imposed restrictions across the occupied territory ahead of vote counting scheduled to be held tomorrow.

A multi-tier security blanket has been thrown with Central Armed Police Force troops in the first layer, Indian Police in the second layer, and Indian army troops in the third layer.
