The European Union has announced to continue provision of humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan if the new Taliban government upholds basic freedom of its citizens.  

Addressing a press conference in Brussels, European Commission Vice-President Maros Sefcovic said that European Union is ready for emergency aid to Afghanistan; however longer-term donor money depends on the Taliban's commitment of human rights.

He said that we are keenly observing the behavior of the new government of Afghanistan.
