Masood Khalid (Former Ambassador) Economic Cooperation Organization summit will help integrate the regional countries enhancing economic prospects and mutual benefits for all. Pakistan has expedited economic activity for better integration of region to achieve our objectives by drawing regional countries closer economically.

More countries will join China Pakistan Economic Corridor, as Pakistan and china have agreed to involve more parties in this basically a bilateral project. Afghanistan will also join China Pakistan Economic Corridor.The overall aim is to promote regional integration and economic cooperation.

It is expected that the leaders participating in the ECO summit will also discuss situation in Gaza and possible its solution.

Central Asian countries are blessed with rich natural resources. ECO summit is aiming to bring regional countries closer who shares social, historical and political ties. So the bonding in economic sector needs to be strengthened to fulfill their basic requirements with all available natural resources in Central Asian counties.In this sense ECO is very important institution as both developed and under-develop counties are part of this organization.

Uzbekistan is rich in oil and Gas resources and related industry and Pakistan is excellent in counter-terrorism expertise.

With participation of Prime Minister of Pakistan in ECO summit , a new confidence will develop and it will open up new ways and possibilities of development and encourage extended cooperation among the member counties.

Pakistan and Uzbekistan are tied in cultural bond hence they have great potential of economic cooperation in all sectors.
