Faisal Nayaz Tirmizi (Ambassador of Pakistan to UAE): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is paying a very significant visit to the United Arab Emirates from tomorrow. Pakistan and UAE have historical cordial ties. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit will provide opportunity to both sides to review their existing friendly relations. During his visit Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will hold important meetings with the UAE President and Prime Minister. Moreover, he will also hold meetings with heads of the states from Sri Lanka, Kuwait, Bosnia and other countries. The Prime Minister will also deliver key address at the international conference. He will meet with CEOs at a roundtable conference to convince businessmen to invest in Pakistan. Pakistani diaspora has played key role in the development of all sectors of UAE including agriculture, civil aviation, health and others. Pakistanis have been holding key offices at the UAE’s army, foreign office, police and other departments. Now process is reversing as the UAE people are investing in Pakistan. Currently the UAE companies have invested around $3.5 billion in Pakistan. It is a fact that infrastructural development process has been almost completed in the UAE, so now they want highly qualified people in AI, tourism and other sectors. So, we need to send highly skilled people in these sectors instead of labourers to UAE.
