Analyst hails government for presenting balanced budget and long-term plans for economic revival
June 10, 2023

Dr Noor Fatima (Economist) The budget presented by the incumbent government can be considered as balanced one. It seems that no new taxes have been imposed in the budget. A huge fund has been allocated in PSPD funds. The governmental budget has cut down the governmental expenditure. The government is looking for the IMF bailout package and it is unfortunate that the IMF is imposing strict conditions in order to mature the bailout package. Our friend countries including China, UAE and Saudi Arabia are supporting Pakistan in order to come out of the economic crisis. It is an important development that the government is willing to pay special attention to the IT industry. The government has set some long-term plans for the economic revival. For example, the government is promoting the use of solarization and no taxes have been imposed in this regard. The need of the hour is to improve trade relations with other countries.
