Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan (IR Expert): Pak-China relations are exemplary and both the countries have been supporting each other’s narratives. Both countries demonstrate not only a mutuality of interests but also an earnest desire to further broaden this partnership. China has supported Pakistan to strengthen its economy through the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project. This mega project is going to bring an economic revolution in the country and other regional countries can also take maximum advantage of it. The CPEC’s scope has been expanded in its next phase to include cooperation in agriculture, industry, oil and gas, science and technology, information technology, education, tourism and socio-economic projects. Both the countries are determined to complete all development projects within the specified timeline.
Zameer Asadi (IR Expert): Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. Pakistan considers China as one of its closest friends and partners and China considers Pakistan as its Iron Brother. Pakistan is entering into a new chapter of economic take-off through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor which is a flagship project of China’s “Belt and Road” initiative. China’s prime purpose of building up the CPEC is to promote its economic and trade connections with regional countries. The bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries is characterized by feelings of mutual trust, respect and goodwill towards each other. The recent exchange of visits at the highest level between the two countries will further strengthen the relations of both countries.
