Analysts laud security forces’ role in eliminating terrorism, promoting peace
December 10, 2023

Tahira Abdullah (Human Rights Activist): The theme for the World Human Rights Day is Freedom, Equality and Justice for All. Unfortunately the current situation in the Middle East and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is negating this theme. UN and other world organizations have failed to take concrete measures to ensure humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. The European countries are openly supporting Israel and the Israeli forces are carrying out the worst human rights violations on the innocent people of Gaza. The international community needs to take serious notice of it.

Brig (Retd) Said Nazir (Defense Analyst): Our security forces are making all out efforts to eliminate the terror incidents in the country. Police, Paramilitary forces are the front line fighters against the terrorism. The terrorist activities in Pakistan are the result of NDS and RAW nexus. Moreover, the interim government in Afghanistan is unable to control the militant organizations using Afghan soil for their nefarious designs against other countries. Pakistan always supports peace and prosperity in Afghanistan as peace in Pakistan is directly linked with the peace in Afghanistan. Pakistan has fought a successful war against terrorism and reiterated the commitment that operation against terrorists will continue till its logical end. India for the sake of its hegemonic thoughts is interfering in the internal affairs of other countries. The government is focusing on the development projects in Balochistan in order to compensate for the sense of deprivation among the Baloch people. Moreover, all out efforts are underway to bring the Baloch people into the national streamline.

Dr.Noor Fathima (IR Expert): World Human Rights Day is being observed across the globe. Pakistan has adopted several legal, economic and social remedies to promote and protect these rights. The world capitals need to express concern over the plight of the Palestinian people and the people in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir who are being deprived of their basic rights and facing state terrorism and ethnic cleansing by Israel and India respectively. It is fact that the international community has failed to take action against Israel and stop it from committing the genocide of the Palestinian people. There is a dire need of global attention to address human rights abuses in India-held Kashmir, holding India accountable for its actions.

Brig (Retd) Masood (Defense Analyst): COAS will definitely try to eliminate the misunderstandings created between the two countries through social media propaganda. The main focus of the discussion will be the Afghan situation as the United States is a main stakeholder in this regard. Military left-behinds by the NATO forces in Afghanistan are now being used by the militant organizations for their terrorist activities in Pakistan. Moreover, COAS will also discuss the prevailing situation in Gaza. The general elections in India will be held next year and India may stage a false flag operation against Pakistan in order to malign it just to get the votes.
