The Punjab Police have finalized the security plan for by-polls in 20 constituencies of the province.

In a statement on Thursday, DIG operation Punjab Police Waqas Nazir said more than 52,000 personnel in 14 districts of Punjab will be on duty in the by-elections.

He said in each constituency, 100 anti-riot force personnel will also be on standby to control any emergency situation.

Waqas Nazir said a special Control Room has been set up in the Central Police Office for monitoring of the election process.
