Dr. Shafqat Munir (Economic Expert):It is a good development that incumbent government is determined to raise volume of Pakistan’seconomy to 100 billion dollars and it is possible only through increasing tune of trade especially exports. For this purpose, Pakistan will have to improve supplies either services or goods. So increasing trade volume is lone way to economic progress and growth. In this context, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has rightly highlighted this issue in the backlash of emerging economic crisis due to Mideast conflict. He says that Pakistan is moving towards sustainable, investment and export-led economic growth after achieving macroeconomic stabilisation.Pakistan can export huge quantity of agricultural, livestock and dairy products to Gulf and other regions. So we have to higher volume of our trade by diversifying it. Pakistan can promote meat industry, textile and services sectors. We need to make our services sectors competitive for global market. The government is making the investment friendly environment in the country and soon we may see huge international investment in the country.
