Muhammad Asghar (Senior Journalist, Beijing): Caretaker Prime Minister has arrived in China to participate in the third Belt and Road Forum beginning in Beijing. China is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative and Pakistan is cooperating with China under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project. China has heavily invested in Pakistan through CPEC. The caretaker Prime Minister has some important assignments on this visit. He will address top Chinese entrepreneurs and will urge them to invest in various sectors in Pakistan. Moreover, the Prime Minister will also hold a meeting with the Chinese President and other high-level Chinese officials. The world leaders from different countries will also participate in the conference and the Prime Minister will have the opportunity to interact with them on the sidelines. A number of MoUs are also expected to be signed during the visit. The caretaker Prime Minister is leading a high-level delegation and the focus will be on expanding the scope of CPEC in different fields including IT, industrialization, agriculture, space technology and others. Chinese investors can support Pakistan to a great extent in increasing industrial production.

China has always supported Pakistan in difficult times. The China Pakistan Economic Corridor project is a shining example of Pak-China trade relations. This mega project is expected to boost the economy of our country. The foreign investors are well motivated to invest in Pakistan under this game changer project. Once the Gawadar port is operational, Pakistan will become a trade hub. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have also expressed willingness to invest in different projects in Pakistan including in the refining of oil. Pakistan is also inviting the foreign investors from different countries to invest in the country.
