Russia claims its forces have completely controlled the southeastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol and given an ultimatum to Ukrainian soldiers to surrender.

However, hours after the deadline, there are no signs of surrender by Ukrainian soldiers.        

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military said Russian air strikes on Mariupol continued along with assault operations near the port.
