Dr. Muhammad Khan (IR Expert): Till now the US President-elect Donald Trump has shown good gestures for the global peace. However Pakistan is concerned about the possible future role of the US in the region. Factually Pakistan brokered US exit deal from Afghanistan during his previous tenure in the US presidency. But Taliban did not come up to commitments, just because of the fact that successors of Trump in US did not press Taliban for inclusion of other groups in Afghan government. The Trump is required to take action against Taliban and TTP for supporting terrorism in Pakistan otherwise the region will move towards a new war and I hope Trump will do take some action in this connection. It is significant fact that Pakistan is an important country geographically and no US government can ignore Pakistan so Pakistan must play a strategic role to benefit from our geo-political position. Now the US and Russia must give Pakistan its due status without making Pakistan a center for controlling Afghanistan or igniting terrorism from Afghanistan against Pakistan. We must lead major world powers on our agenda instead of pursuing their agendas. Donald Trump has been opposed to wars; however, Donald Trump is diehard supporter of Israel. That was why he threatened awe for the whole world in case of no ceasefire in Gaza.
