Analysts stress the need for a peaceful solution of Russia-Ukraine war
July 20, 2023

Najmuddin  Sheikh (Former Foreign Secretary):

Pakistan is following a right policy. Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto are capable of recognizing and moving ahead on this particular target that we will try and do what we can to prevent any further exacerbation of the situation in the region. But at the same time, we will try and retain and maintain our relationship with Ukraine and particularly the arms related elements in the relationship. It is in larger interest of Pakistan as well as the developed world that this grain deal should be restored.

AM Shahid (Former Ambassador):

Pakistan wants a peaceful solution of Russian-Ukraine war. The issues should be solved through negotiations. We have very good relationship with Ukraine. Pakistan is trying hard to remain neutral in Russia-Ukraine conflict. Pakistan hopes that peace will prevail so that the people of Ukraine and Russia could enjoy peace dividends.

Amanullah Karnani (Ex-President Supreme Court Bar Association):

PTI Chief orchestrated the drama against country's interests by harming its foreign relations and inflicting a serious damage on its economy just to secure his vested political objectives. The confessional statement of Azam khan, former principal secretary to the former prime Minister, has exposed PTI Chief’s conspiracy narrative based on the diplomatic cypher.
