In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, occupation troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 919 children during the past thirty-five years.

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service on the occasion of the World Children’s Day, today, the killing of civilians rendered 107,934 Kashmiri children orphaned during the period.

Similarly, thousands of people, including school boys and girls, were injured in pellet firing by Indian troops on peaceful protesters.

APHC jailed leaders in their statements urged the United Nations General Secretary and human rights organizations to take notice of Kashmiri children’s plight as a result  of India’s continued repression in occupied territory.

Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti in an apparent criticism of rising Hindutva in India under Modi rule cited history of Pakistan-India matches and slammed the behaviour of the Indians over their defeat in Cricket World Cup at Ahmedabad, the other day. She said cricket should be played in a sporting spirit and not be treated as a war.

Kashmiri traders under the umbrella of Kashmir Traders Alliance have also raised serious concern about the prevalent power crisis in the occupied territory. The trader leaders said life in the Kashmir valley has further degraded due to the exceeding power cuts.
