Most importantly, IDEAS 2024 is not just an auction but it is an opportunity for Pakistan to showcase a wide variety of technology, ranging from equipment used in third world countries to the most sophisticated systems in front of the world. After the 1965 and 1971 wars, when sanctions were imposed on our country, we looked towards China and the good thing is that China is always willing for transfer of the technology. Pakistan offers enormous opportunities for profitable investments, joint ventures and trade in all sectors including the defense industry. Modern technologies are playing a vital role in confronting modern-day security challenges and their responsible use can make the world a better and safer place. It is good development that Pakistan’s defense industry has now reached the threshold of quality and reliability, wherein, its products are competing in the international defense market.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan enjoying strong cordial relations since long and both the countries have supported each other in the areas of mutual interests. King Suleman has a vision 2030 and we need to work with Saudi Arabia as it will be beneficial for the interests of both the countries. Unfortunately, the west is biased towards Israel as far as the Gaza situation is concerned. Saudi Arabia recently held a summit on the Gaza situation and urged for an immediate ceasefire in order to avoid humanitarian crises. I am confident that as per commitments made by Donald Trump during his election campaign, the United States will play an important role in ending the Gaza-Israel conflict. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia being important countries of the Muslim world can also play an important role in defusing the tensions in the Middle Eastern region.
