November 26, 2024

A. M. Shahid (Former Ambassador):

Pakistan attaches importance to its relations with Belarus. Both the countries have reaffirmed commitment to further strengthen their economic and trade relations. Both the sides expressed satisfaction over the positive progress in all aspects of Pakistan-Belarus relations during the past decade. The visit of Belarusian President will be immensely helpful in opening new avenues of cooperation and partnership between the two countries. The visiting dignitary has been informed about Pakistan's economic recovery policy, which focuses on export-led growth and attracting investment from friendly countries.

Waheed Ahmed (Former Ambassador):

It is a positive development that Pakistan and Belarus have agreed to explore and capitalize on the untapped potential in trade and industrial collaboration. There is the need to explore ways and means to increase the industrial cooperation between the two countries in diverse fields. Pakistan has considerable export potential with Belarus for items like inflatable footballs, articles of bedding and similar stuffed items, sports and outdoor games equipment, footwear, rubber, plastic and metal products. Currently, joint collaboration between Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority of Pakistan and Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs is under consideration.
